Sublimation Transfer Printing onto a Ceramic Mug
Transferring images and designs to a ceramic mug is not difficult when you have the most excellent tools that are SubMite Sublimation Paper and Ink and an RT Mug Heat Press. We are especially enthused about the transfer paper, because it’s so easy to use and offers crisp, detailed designs and images when heat transferred to light color apparel, mugs, flip flops, phone cases, yoga mats and other polyester-coated substrates.
Here are the STEPS TO TRANSFER a design/image for an exceptionally looking final product:
Print image being transferred in a MIRROR image. Once transferred to the mug or other substrate, it will be right reading.
Wrap images around ceramic mug and tape into place with a heat resistant tape.
Place mug into mug press that has been heated to 330 degrees F and heat press for 40 seconds with Medium Pressure.
**It’s important to note that heat transfer time and heat press temperature are dictated by the manufacturer of the substrate you’re heat pressing.
HOT PEEL. Notice how the paper practically falls of the mug. That’s why this system is a gem. It’s so easy and straight forward to use.
The SubMite System features:
SubMite Ink in enhanced CMYK that offers UV stability and a no-clog formula. Because the ink colors are enhanced, you’re able to achieve a range of CMYK colors that you won’t get with standard dye sub ink in 4-color printers using traditional Cyan, Magenta, Yellow and Black. It’s available in 140 mls. Find it here: rhinotechinc.com/digital-transfer/sublimation-ink-paper/SubMite%20Ink
SubMite paper offers outstanding image clarity and definition and is available in performance packs of 110 sheets in 8” x 11” and 11” x 17”.
SubMite can be found at: rhinotechinc.com/digital-transfer/sublimation-ink-paper
The RT Mug press features an all digital display and is so economical. Find it here: rhinotechinc.com/digital-transfer/Heat-Press/RT-Mug-Heat-Press

Screen Printing Rainbow Effect
Переглядів 2,2 тис.4 роки тому
Our latest video demonstrates a non-standard printing technique. With each shirt, as you’ll see, a distinctive fusion of colors will be created. Though there will be slight color varia...

where can i buy one for my creations??
Do you make your own squeegees at RHINOTECH?
Thank you, I have been wondering if this was possible for years and never looked into it until now
Another product video where the product was NOT actually shown in use. The dryer may be ok but that 4 color press would be all but useless if you want to do multiple colors. $100-$150 press all day on Amazon or wherever. You will not be able to print multiple colors with this press. It will not hold registration. Rhinotech, as a MN native you are inching extremely close to being "NOT So MN Nice"... Demo your products for real, in realtime or don't sell them.
I have never witnessed anything "actually" being printed in your promotional videos. As a "real life" screen printer I find this quite, well let's just say off putting. Particularly when it comes to printing hats. Good luck to anyone who is trying to print hats with the press advertised here. If it were that easy then I'm pretty sure they would have actually printed a hat in the video. Shady marketing in my opinion. Prove me wrong.
Awesome 👍 great job new ways

Hey does this glue work on wood? What do you recommend for wood frames?
If we can wash out just with a water, can we print water based/discharge ink on screens where we use this blockout?🤔
The 201 Permanent blockout only lasts about 5 reclaims before operators starting taping off all previous blockout areas.
Thanks for your comment. Actually, not sure why it only lasted 5 for you as it's formulated to hold up and be as durable as a 2-part frame adhesive. If you'd like some help, please contact us directly at 651-686-5027 or info@rhinotechinc.com. Hope to hear from you.
I found this video when searching for tips about removing glue from a window screen. When new windows were installed a couple of months ago, somehow a bit of glue (looks more like paint to me) got blobbed onto the screen. Since screens are delicate, is there any safe way to remove the stain without damaging the screen? Thank you.
Thanks for checking with us. We only work with mesh mad for screen printing frames. Our product, ARP2500 removes glue from screen frame mesh. We've never tried it on a window screen. Here's the link if you want to research it more: rhinotechinc.com/product/arp-2500-rhinoclean-frame-adhesive-remover/. Good luck!
What size is the screen
It's a standard size, 20" x 24". Please give Chris a call at 651-686-5027 x 4 if you need more info or would like to order (online works, too, at info@rhinotechinc.com). Thanks for watching our video and your question.

Please upload the videos at higher resolutions, thank you!
Will do. Thanks for the comment.

Question: I am having a lot of issues with this product, every time I try to transfer to the shirt the paper sticks to the shirt and the image and I can't get a clean peel. Adjusted the time under the press etc. Any suggestions are appreciated.
So it only works with white toner printers
If your design includes white then a white toner printer is required. If it doesn't have white in it you can use a CMYK printer. Hope that helps and if you need further info, please get in touch at 651-686-5027 x 4.

I have a couple questions: 1. How volatile is the ARP2500? By that I mean how fast will it evaporate if left in an open tray. 2. Is it flammable?
Excellent questions. ARP2500 is a best-seller and is not flammable. It's has a 199 degrees F flashpoint so evaporates slowly. Here's the link to the SDS: rhinotechinc.com/wp-content/uploads/2020/01/ARP2500.pdf. If you have an other questions, please give us a call at 651-686-5027 x 4. Hi, does Rhinodark work with sublimation ink?

if you use a narrow margin when printing the design onto paper you get a lesser white edge and bigger design for a t-shirt I did not know this until I stumbled across it one day when I was trying different margins if that's the look you are looking for though makes my prints biggerThank you for the videos they are awesome
We appreciate your insight and comment and especially your business. Thanks, immensely!
Hello, can I get 20-25 newtons with that?
Thanks for watching our video. Since this is a manual stretcher, the amount of tension will be completely dependent on you as the operator or whoever is doing the screen stretching. For more accuracy or tension, you might want to consider the RSP200 Screen Stretcher: rhinotechinc.com/product/rhinostretch-manual-screen-stretcher/. On this one, you are stretching the mesh to the desired 25 newtons before gluing unlike the RSP100. For more info, please call Greg 651-686-5027 ext 2.
How do you export your file? Jpg tif or png?
Thanks for your question. Generally, we print directly from or graphics program to the iColor 550 printer. If you need to export to a flash drive, a jpeg would be sufficient. Hope that helps. Please give us a call if you need any other info. 651-686-5027 x 4 or 2. www.rhinotechinc.com
Does it have to be an OKI printer? Where I'm from those are super expensive. Can a regular toner printer be used?
It doesn't have to be, but for a high quality final product the iColor (www.rhinotechinc.com) and OKI printers produce great results. You could also try a Brother laser printer. Here's the link to the Sample 10 Pack that's a great way to test RhinoCOLOR with your printer: rhinotechinc.com/product/rhinocolor-heat-transfer-paper/. Please contact us directly at 651-686-5027 x 4 or 2 if need more info and want some help. Looking forward to working with you.
To Lester Jeffries who had a question about reclaiming a screen after the emulsion was left on the screen for a year. Yes, you should be able to remove the emulsion with a remover like ours that is ER8500L(rhinotechinc.com/product/er-8550l-emulsion-remover-ready-to-use/) that is ready-to-use. Spray it onto both sides of the screen. Using a brush, scrub the entire surface of both sides of the screen. Leave on a few minutes and watch the emulsion start to dissolve. With a pressure washer like the RS1500A (rhinotechinc.com/product/rhinospray-rs1500a-high-pressure-screen-cleaner/), blast off the softened emulsion from the screen. If you still seem some residue, use HR2800 (rhinotechinc.com/product/hr-2800-haze-remover/) haze remover to get a clear screen. Please give us a call at 651-686-5027 x 2 or 4 if we can help you further. Thanks for getting in touch with RhinoTech.
If I am using a high mesh count with more detail but need to push more ink thru because it's thick will a 60* durometer orange work better? The green seemed like it wasn't pushing enough ink
Thanks for your question and hope this will help you. A 60 Duro is the softest material while the 80 is the hardest. Generally, the softer grades (60) are used when you need to push more ink deposits with high coverage printing, so yes, the 60 Duro will be your best bet. 80 Duro squeegees are used for reduced deposits when using UV inks for fine texts and higher line counts. Be careful not to press down hard when applying ink as this will only create excessive wear on the squeegee and make the ink deposit heavy and hard to control. A few more tips: use a squeegee that just exceeds your printed image size and leave adequate space between both ends of the squeegee and inside of frame for the best print. If you have more questions, please give us a call at 651-686-5027 ex 2.
So do you print on coated side? You just say which side is coated, is that printing side or no?
Yes, print your image on the coated side. If you're not sure which side that is, wet your fingers and grab film at the corner. The coated side will stick to your finger. Pretty scientific, but it works. Good luck and let us know if need any other help or have questions.
Hey there, I love that you have so many great videos. I am totally new to silk screening. About six months ago I put a vinyl Oracal decal on a screen. Then I forgot about it. 🤣today I decided to give it another try. I removed the decals which were still on there. There is a whitish haze here and there, I am presuming that is the adhesive, I also “see” the words I was printing, so in other words the glue that surrounded the empty spaces of the words is on there. I tried washing with dawn detergent, and splashed a little alcohol, no dice. Is there a way to dissolve out that adhesive (which I don’t know if it’s water based or solvent based) or are the screens toast? Thank you!
Thanks and glad they'll be able to help you in your new venture. Your question is a tough one, but we have the answer. Because you're unsure of the adhesive base, we suggest trying HR2800 haze remover (rhinotechinc.com/product/hr-2800-haze-remover/) as it can generally remove anything and everything. Keep in mind that this is a very active compound, so be sure to use gloves and eye protection. Here’s how to use it: wet the screen and apply small amount of remover on both sides of the screen and let sit for 3 - 5 minutes, rinse with water and hit with a pressure washer. Checkout the video: ua-cam.com/video/6_IdwbCRHcU/v-deo.html. Please give us a call if you have more questions or need help. 651-686-5027 x 2 or 4.
